Rock band QWER has signed with Warner Music Japan, marking its official entry into the Japanese music market.

QWER's agency 3Y Corporation said Saturday that the four-member group — Chodan, Magenta, Hina and Siyeon — recently signed with the well-known label and is preparing to launch promotional activities in the country.

QWER has previously released a Japanese-language version of its debut track "Discord" (2023) and performed at several major music festivals in Japan, steadily building a local fan base.

In March, the group successfully held the Japan leg of its first world tour, "Rockation," performing in three cities.

QWER will officially make its Japanese debut on July 8 with the release of "Show Down," the opening theme song for Fuji TV's anime adaptation of Korean web novel and webtoon "Tomb Raider King" (2019).

The track conveys a message of "overcoming obstacles without being swayed by the judgments of others in a superficial world," the agency said.

"Show Down" will be released on major streaming platforms on July 8.

QWER debuted in 2023 with its single album “Harmony from Discord.” The band is known for the single "Discord" from that release, as well as songs such as “T.B.H” (2024), “Fake Idol” (2024) and “My Name is Malgeum” (2024).
