Girl group NMIXX's Sullyoon has been selected as the K-pop music video star of the second quarter of this year, according to fan voting platform Picnic.

In the poll featuring artists who released music during the second quarter, Sullyoon ranked first with 59,616 votes. Boy band Cortis's James came in second with 53,851 votes, followed by Alpha Drive One's Anxin with 49,741 votes. The poll ran from June 12 to 26.

NMIXX returned with the single "Heavy Serenade" in May. Its music video surpassed 40 million views about a month after its release, drawing strong global attention. Sullyoon, in particular, was praised for leading the video's mood with her striking visuals and expressive performance, according to the voting platform.

"Stylish music videos are no longer optional in the K-pop industry. Global fans consume not only the music itself but also the visuals, concepts and artists' performances," Picnic said. "The latest chart results show that music videos have become key content in shaping an artist's brand."

Picnic hosts weekly polls on a wide range of K-pop topics in collaboration with the Korea JoongAng Daily.

Participation in the polls is available through Picnic's official website and mobile app.
