Cube Entertainment warned that scammers are reportedly falsely claiming to have secured the agency’s approval for its artists to perform in China to attract investors.

“We recently received reports that some companies have falsely claimed to have obtained our approval to arrange performances by our artists in China […] to secure large investments from Chinese companies,” Cube Entertainment said in a press release on Friday.

The agency said it didn’t authorize any such arrangements and urged people to be cautious of the alleged scam.

It added that it will take firm legal action against anyone found using the company’s name or its artists without authorization to spread false information or solicit investments.

“We will pursue all available civil and criminal legal measures, including filing complaints with investigative authorities,” the agency said.
