Hana Financial Group inked a memorandum of understanding with Seobu T&D to strengthen cooperation on the development of a complex that will integrate smart logistics facilities with commercial and support infrastructure.

The agreement, signed on Friday, establishes a comprehensive framework for the “Urban High-Tech Logistics Complex” in Yangcheon District, western Seoul, for the two companies’ collaboration across financial services, including project financing, corporate banking and co-investment.

Hana plans to be involved in every phase of the project, for which it will leverage the combined expertise of its key affiliates, such as Hana Bank’s corporate banking capabilities and Hana Securities’ investment banking expertise.

The framework covers project financing arrangements, the financial structuring and feasibility analysis for the logistics complex and the provision of comprehensive financial solutions through the extensive networks of both parties.

“We are committed to […] ensuring the successful execution of this logistics complex development, which will establish an integrated infrastructure encompassing logistics, finance, health care and cultural facilities,” said Ham Young-joo, the chairman of Hana Financial Group.

Hana Financial Group launched a 500 billion won ($325.6 million) fund in March, through which it actively invests in key strategic assets, including renewable energy and hydrogen projects; energy storage systems; environmentally sustainable facilities and digital infrastructure, such as AI data centers and AI computing centers.
